Helping writers and businesses bring stories to life
My passion is connecting people with the information and tools they need to achieve their goals. I empower writers through clear, thoughtful, and actionable feedback, relevant resources, and encouragement.
I look forward to learning how I can support you with your current and future projects.
Growing up, I spent hours at the library reading books of all kinds, though mysteries were always my favorite. I loved following the clues, feeling the suspense build, and seeing how everything came together at the end.
Writing was a natural extension of my love of discovery through books. Armed with a dictionary, a thesaurus, and a style guide or two, I enjoyed using the tools of writing to craft stories and share ideas, perspectives, and knowledge with others. Later, science offered another outlet for my curiosity, where I learned to ask questions, think analytically, and communicate my findings clearly. Over time, those interests turned into a career built around observation, analysis, and helping ideas come across in a way that connects deeply with people.
As a developmental editor, I bring that same mindset to every manuscript I read, looking at the big picture, diving into the details, and offering writers thoughtful, clear feedback that helps them shape stronger stories and move forward with confidence. I also want the editing process to feel supportive and encouraging because I know how personal a manuscript can be, and I’ve been on the receiving end of both good and harsh edits.
Though I’ve worked with writers across genres, I especially enjoy working on adult romance and middle-grade fiction because I’m drawn to stories about hope, love, resilience, family, friendship, and belonging.
I believe there is always room for improvement and learning new things. I participate in ongoing continuing education and professional development.
